On April 28, the Center of Innovative Educational Technologies “PNU EcoSystem” completed the second series of advanced training courses for teachers of vocational education in Ivano-Frankivsk and the towns of Sein and Sighetu Marmatiei (Romania) on “Innovative learning technologies in educational activities of teachers”, which lasted for several days. According to the data of electronic registration, 2 groups of 50 pedagogical workers were formed. The groups of Ukrainian teachers worked offline in compliance with all quarantine requirements, whereas the Romanian team joined the training via videoconference Cisco WebEx platform.
Galyna Mykhailyshyn, Vice-Rector for Research and Pedagogical Work of the University, and Ihor Popadyuk, Head of the Department of Investment Policy, Projects, International Relations, Tourism and Promotions of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, addressed to the participants with a welcoming speech.
The speakers of the event were: Doctors of Sciences, Professors: Olena Budnyk and Liubomyra Piletska; Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors: Tetyana Blyznyuk, Lilia Midak, Oleksandr Novosiolov and Mykhailo Kotyk.
The subject of active discussion were the problems of implementation of innovative methods in teaching STEM-disciplines, in particular: the use of Smart-technologies in the educational process, the use of virtual laboratories, digital resources for distance learning, features of formative assessment of learning outcomes, 3D-visualization of augmented reality in the study of STEM subjects, etc. Questions on working with multifunctional 3D devices, three-dimensional printing, color scanning of objects and laser firing based on the multifunctional 3D device XYZPrinting aroused interest among the practitioners of vocational education institutions. At the end of the course, the participants were offered a training aimed at practical exercises to prevent burnout.
Simultaneous translation was provided for colleagues from Romania. All the participants received certificates of advanced training for a total of 30 academic hours.
According to Professor Olena Budnyk, the courses for teachers of vocational education institutions are held at the Center of Innovative Educational Technologies “PNU EcoSystem” for the first time, so the positive feedback and interest of Ukrainian and Romanian participants to continue cooperation is extremely valuable.
The courses for teachers were organized at the initiative of the Department of Investment Policy, Projects, International Relations, Tourism and Promotions of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council to implement the international project “STEM-education in vocational and specialized schools” 2SOFT / 1.1 / 23, which was co-financed under the Joint Operational Program Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020.
